Andy roddick, seeded 8th in the world, is not only fluent in his ground strokes, but also has one of the world's best serves (he holds the fastest serve recorded in professional tennis, clocked at 155 mph (249.4 km/h). Albeit he isn't the best player in the world, he's renowned for his hot-headedness and irrational antics.

Yeah u can say that he's my sports idol because we share similar temperaments; with the exception that I wldn't turn my racquet into a wreck upon losing a set. (cos' tennis racquets're fucking steep and i'm not sponsored)

It's the 3rd time (countless times in fact) i've seen him committing such acts in recent games - in the US open, China open and in the AIG open held in tokyo. Not to mention his altercation with the umpire due to his oversight on the sidelines.

Lacking of sportsmanship one might say, I'd say he was just fighting for his rights. He's indeed a sports personality not to be missed.

It's such a letdown that he got booted out of the semis of the AIG open (part of the ATP tour) ytd after losing to Tomas Berdych from czech republic.

Berdych smoothly sailed past Del Potro to clinch the championship trophy in the AIG open.
