I've been doing so much writing at work that i feel like i'm the senior editor of Food Republic & DTF. Ever since i did my first writeup of Food Opera on the last page of the Food republic booklet, it has always been "Roy, you can really write well.. can you do a writeup for this?" or "for that, and this?" and "oh for this and this and that and that too?" I'm like a copywriting machine churning out press releases after press releases... articles after articles.. I've got so much to write that I had to bring them back to do for the past 2 weeks.

Here's what I had to write for these 2 weeks: individual writeups for the media clipping boards of 26 tenants (of food opera), individual descriptions of 5 sculptures that will be engraved on gold plaques at Food Opera (I had to fabricate stories behind the sculptures can you believe it!), 4 writeups for 4 different kinds of cuisines (Chinese, Malay, Indian, Eurasian), 4 paragraphs of "The Evolution of Street Hawkers" (Early 1900s, mid 19th Century, Late 1900s, Modern Day) - all of which are to be placed in frames with illustrations at Food Opera, and a warning letter to an existing tenant for defaulting our service standards.

For a moment, I thought I was interning at sph.

Food Opera will be officially opening its doors on the 21st of July (next tues). Be sure to read the articles on the walls as well as the descriptions of the sculptures cos' they were all written by me. Hah

Been wanting to put this up just after the match but i was too tired and the past few days have been really hectic. Oh wells here it is.

Champion of Wimbledon 2009 Men's Singles and the greatest tennis player in history with 15 grand slam titles beating pete sampras's record of 14. For a moment, i thought Roddick would stand a chance but he blew it. Guess luck favors the stars sometimes.

The match was worth every minute of it. It was the 1st time i've seen Roddick play so superbly well in years.

The all-time favorite Steamed Chilli Crab Dumplings are back at all Din Tai Fung outlets from 1st July to 31st August. I was told to write the press release and come up with a headline for the above product and it's featured in all our Chilli Crab Dumplings advertisement collaterals! heh.
I've tried it myself and it's simply mouthwatering.

Spice Up Your Palate!

Singapore, 1 July 2009In conjunction with Singapore Food Festival, Din Tai Fung offers a gastronomic dining experience with the much anticipated Steamed Chilli Crab Dumplings. Inspired by Singaporeans’ all-time favorite delicacy, these Chilli Crab Dumplings will set to tantalize your taste buds with the use of traditional piquant condiments; to stir in a hint of local flavor and that extra touch of perfection.

For the 4th year running, our master chefs are proud to present these exquisite dumplings to you again!

Serena William's (left) is officially the reigning champion of Wimbledon 2009 in the Women's Singles Championships. She defeated defending champion, sister Venus Williams (right) in straight sets 7-6, 6-2. They will be playing for the double's trophy later in the day. It was rather an unexpected win as Venus Williams never lost a set in this yr's Wimbledon Championships prior to the finals; however, Serena Williams brought up a better game and deserves the crown.
Andy Roddick has earned his ticket to the wimbledon finals after dashing the hopes of the British locals by defeating Britain's home favourites, Andy Murray. The last British who'd won Wimbledon on home soil was 73 years ago by Fred Perry. Looks like they gotta wait another year for a new historical record to be made.

I'm definitely disappointed that Murray couldn't get a chance to win Wimbledon but nevertheless, it was an exciting match to watch and he'd played well; just not well enough.

Roddick will be facing off with Federer in the finals held on Sunday. Catch it live on Star Sports!
