Had a rather busy weekend with abnormal sleeping hours. On Friday nite, I was invited to the annual pawnbroker's association dinner @ Grand Corpthorne Hotel together with my dad and relatives. Er.. the food wasn't too bad but the performances were rilly cheena maybe cos all the bosses there are old and naturally chinese speaking. Oh there was media coverage for the event and this auntie from mediacorp was the emcee. Forgot whats her name.

Left the dinner in the midst to meet up with daniel, ivy, janice and swee lan at settler's cafe. Then it was to fong seng and west coast park till the wee hrs in the morning.

Last nite was spent with my cousins cos liz will be leaving for melbourne tmr to continue with her studies. Argh.. slept at 6. So darn tired now. Still need to rush assignments and projects. zzzz

CNY photos are finally up! Been rilly busy with school work and mid terms.. argh.. shan't talk about sch.. it depresses me. yeah. Dunno whether there'll be more cos the photos are taken by yina.. i just stole them.. heh.. enjoy.

It's a freakin boring day. It's not that I have nobody to visit nor the other way round. Here are the reasons:

Firstly, all my close relatives went overseas. 4 families went to cebu this morning and 2 others went to bangkok ytd. My dad didn't wanna go cos' there'll be other distant relatives visiting us..

Secondly, I reserved the first day for them to visit us. All of them left at 430pm. We're supposed to go to many places to visit but my dad decided to split them up into the nxt 2 days so tt he wouldn't be so bored then.

And so.. i've got nth to do now till tmr. It's supposed to be a cheery and noisy day.. when everyone else is playing mj or staying at one of the relative's house till late.

It's like half a day wasted. I'm so free now until i'm considering whether to complete my loads of homework due nxt wk.. but it's new yr.. i'm supposed to abstain from sch and it's so stupid to do hmk during the 1st day of new yr! Besides.. i don't have the mood to.. nb

I think tv's the next best option. Hope the new year programmes will be entertaining. Perhaps i'll countdown to the 2nd day of new yr if it brings me any comfort.

Oh well. Gong xi fa cai, nian nian you yu, feng he ri li to all!

Right. I made a trip down to the dentist to remove my wisdom tooth this morning instead of going for my usual boring econs class. Here's my condition: My lower wisdom tooth's growing and it's swollen due to some bacterial infection. My upper wisdom tooth is fully grown and proper and it keeps biting into the lower swollen gum. Hence, the dentist decided to remove the top tooth since it's easier to remove and i would need an operation if i wanted to remove the lower tooth. Now, both the top and bottom gums hurt like FUCK and it's bleeding like FUCK.

Hope the antibiotics and painkillers work like FUCK too.

It doesn't help that CBY's ( i mean CNY) just around the corner.

Dinner on fri nite at waraku@central.. Went to take the bungy gmax xtreme swing with weijie @clark quay after that.. It usually costs 40 bucks a person but cos gary's a part timer there.. it's free! The rest were either too scared or not properly attired. heh. Damn shiok. Fucking shiok.

Phuture was closed cos the tickets were sold out so we adjourned to dbl o. R&B only started at 130am and the music kinda sucked.. not to mention the dwindling crowd.. it was a fri nite.. can u believe it?!

Oh yes.. and my dad's company, Hock Ann Jewellers has agreed to sponsor 500 bucks for my ltb community service project.. heh.. tt kinda solved our funding issues..

Been damn busy with projects, attending my cousin's granddad's funeral and what not.. I've just been told ytd during class that my group presentation is next week which means more projects and work this wk.. ZZzzzz.. wtf man.. so much workload on hand.. still got other projects and assignments to do.. NABEH.

Alrite.. let me tell u guys about this vicious cycle. We study hard to get a degree which helps us secure a good job so that we get paid more. As we earn more money, we will get married and have kids.. and the money is used to pay for the education of the kids for them to get a degree and jobs to make money. In essence, we are studying for the sake of money since this paperchase helps us achieve the goals. And so.. the vicious cycle continues.. This tells us that we are all money minded. Is money all that important?

The harder the fall, the higher you bounce.

All the random thoughts of becoming a successful entrepreneur or whatsoever in future looks bleak in this point of time.. when i heard that we gotta read this "storybook" for TWC i was like u've gotta be kidding me! okay.. it's not a storybook but a non-fiction book which tells the history of Alpapa or issit Alphapau - basically the metamorphosis of technology. For all those who know me well enuff.. u'll noe that i'm book-o-phobic. Just like studying, reading is totally not my forte. I've lived for 21 years and counting.. and the only book i'd read was the da vinci's code (thx to the person who bought me the bk). Er.. if reading half the bk and completing the rest by watching the movie counts. Well.. it took me ard 6mths to achieve such a great honour - i.e to finish (only) half of the book. Yes.. i'm this hopeless. It can't be helped since my attention span is only about 20mins.

U can do the math on the number of years i'll spend on reading sun tzu's art of war before i can be successful in my business.

Hence, my new yr's resolution is to be a NERD. It doesn't have to be johnny depp tho.

I've been a responsible driver on the road for almost a yr now and i feel that the time is nigh to pen down what constitutes a responsible driver as well as what you should do in the event that such circumstances were to occur.

1) When changing lanes, do not signal early in advance as other motorists in that particular lane will, upon seeing the signal, activate their turbo engines making it hard for you to slot in. Instead, signal just before an opportune moment and execute the action immediately. By doing so, other motorists can't accuse u of not signalling during the changing of lanes yet at the same time, achieve your initial objective.

2) When an idiot is driving at 80km/hr or slower in front of u on the rightest lane of the expressway, hold down the horn and activate your high beam on him. If he refuses to budge, tailgate him. If all else fails, change lane and overtake him while having the courtesy of showing him your longest finger.

3) When an errant driver dangerously cuts into your lane without signalling, hold down the horn, activate your high beam all the way while tailgating him. Try your best not to let any cars intercept your beam of light meant to discipline the errant driver in front of u.

4) When a bugger's tailgating you even when your speedometer hits 120km/hr on the overtaking lane, release the accelerator and brake gradually while staying on the same lane. This will slow your car down and annoy the driver behind extremely. After doing so for some time, by all means give way to him, but once he has driven past u, return to the same lane and make sure you're just behind him. Turn on the high beam and tailgate him until your designated exit. Damn shiok i tell u.

5) When u see an loser signalling his intentions early to cut into your lane, speed up such that the gap between u and the car in front is minimal.

6) When you're in a hurry, make use of all the lanes available on the expressway and weave in and out of the traffic as u please, overtaking all the cars possible.

7) When you execute a change of lane dangerously and the car behind you turns on the high beam on you, do not panic. Let him go ahead of you and slot in behind him. Return your high beam to show that u understand the joy of giving.

8) Be courteous. I can't emphasize more on how important courtesy is to a responsible driver. Have the courtesy of showing errant drivers the finger to show your displeasure as and when your finger itches.


Be a responsible driver. Do the right thing. I am one, are u?

Thinking back about 2007.. I realised that there isn't anything much to reminisce about. It's just another year added on to my life making me 22 this yr.. so what.. big deal. Stepping into yr 2008 marks my 2nd term of the 1st year in uni. Tt's even more insignificant. It's not even like the 2nd year of uni life.. like wtf man. I hate sch.. cos i hate studying. It's not rilly my kinda life.. I wan a carefree life not having to slog for paper qualifications nor having to work to earn money. I wan a life free from stress and competition. Tt's my new yr resolution. Fuck it.

Finally got some time to update on my trip to thaikok.. All 8 of us - me, jac, yz, delon, weijie, stacy, yina and auntie betty (delon's mum who went with us to meet her client there). Oh yes.. we met suzie and nelson there too.. too bad no photos were taken of them.. oh well.

Anw here are some of the highlights of the trip:

Tiger show (thai-girl show) - nth much other than a few aunties stripping and shaking their fats on stage against a pole and performing oral sex and actual sex with a man in different positions. The things they did with their pussies were impressive tho.. like shooting darts, blowing out candles, pulling out countless number of razor blades from it etc.


Eating of crickets, cockroaches, bees, flies, worms at khao san st - er.. flavouring tasted like the mamee powder

2hr Thai full body massage @petchada near our hotel (Bangkok palace hotel) - like shiok. Ticklish at times tho and some weird actions were included.

Revolving Rooftop and rooftop bar at Baiyoke sky hotel - live band performing english nos. in the bar and the rooftop punch was really gd.

Bird's nest and shark's fin @ chinatown - what can i say.. cheap and good of cos!

Shopping @ mbk, platinum mall, khao san st, suan lom market, chatuchak market, bonanza mall, chinatown

Didn't buy much clothings.. but spent qt alot on decor stuffs for my new rm including a golden baroque mirror with lotsa flare. yeah. That's all folks. Have a merry xmas and a good year ahead.
